Jane Griffith is from McAllen, a border-town of South Texas. The blooming colors present in her work is very much inspired by the latin culture she was raised near. Her mother was an avid knitter and fashion stylist, and her father, a mechanic and master carpenter. Surrounded by textures, tools, rusty nuts, bolts, and woods, her mixed-media takes the shape of her rustic and lively upbringing.
After graduating with her BFA, Jane became an art teacher, and moved to South America and Southeast Asia with her family for over fifteen years. The combination of cultural and spiritual influences from her life revel in the details of her work.
